The world can associate a motivational speaking with someone that motivates another to work on self. The gospel shows us that “self” can do nothing good and it is only the redemptive power of the Holy Spirit through a right relationship with Jesus Christ that produces good works of righteousness in and through us. With that said, we share the Good News of Jesus Christ and it is definitely meant to convict the heart and the Holy Spirit motivates the lost in knowing that there is freedom in the name of Jesus Christ.
If that is the stance, then I guess you can call me a “motivational speaker”.
